The Chevrolet Performance LT1 6.2L crate engine, SKU 19431953, offers a significant performance upgrade with 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Introduced on the 7th generation Corvette Stingray, this engine provides a high-tech heart transplant for project vehicles, balancing performance with efficiency. It utilizes advanced technologies such as direct injection and continuously variable valve timing (VVT) to support a sophisticated combustion system. Key components include a cast aluminum block with 6-bolt nodular iron main bearing caps, a forged steel crankshaft, and aluminum rectangular port D/I cylinder heads. The camshaft features a billet steel roller design with a lift of 0.561"/0.531" and duration at 0.050" of 200°/212°. The engine comes with a high-pressure direct-injection fuel pump installed and includes a 14-inch flexplate with an 8-bolt crankshaft flange. This engine assembly does not include electronics and is intended for pre-1976 street vehicles or any off-road vehicle; it is not intended for marine applications. For proper engine operation, the LT1 Controller Kit P/N 19368831, which includes an electronic throttle pedal, is required and must be used. Additionally, a Front-End Accessory Drive Kit, P/N 19329990, can be ordered separately. Chevrolet Performance Parts control kits do not utilize the AFM components on this crate engine.
