LT1 6.2L Crate Engine

The Chevrolet Performance LT1 6.2L crate engine offers a high-tech solution for project vehicles, blending performance with efficiency. This Gen-V Small-Block V8 engine, with a 376 cu. in. (6.2L) displacement, delivers up to 460 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. It features a cast aluminum block with 6-bolt nodular iron main bearing caps, forged steel crankshaft, and aluminum rectangular port direct injection cylinder heads. Key internal components include a billet steel roller camshaft, forged powdered metal connecting rods, and investment-cast roller bearing trunnion rocker arms. The engine is designed with advanced technologies like direct injection and continuously variable valve timing (VVT) for an optimized combustion system. It has a compression ratio of 11.5:1 and a maximum recommended RPM of 6,600. This engine assembly is intended for pre-1976 street vehicles or any off-road vehicle and is not intended for marine applications. It comes with a high-pressure direct-injection fuel pump installed but does not include electronics. An 8-bolt crankshaft flange and a 14-inch flexplate are included. For proper operation, the LT1 Controller Kit P/N 19368831, which includes an electronic throttle pedal, must be used. A Front-End Accessory Drive Kit (P/N 19329990) can be ordered separately.
