LT1 6.2L Crate Engine

The Chevrolet Performance LT1 6.2L Wet Sump Crate Engine, SKU 19431953, provides a high-tech heart transplant for project vehicles, delivering an impressive balance of performance and efficiency. Originally introduced on the 7th generation Corvette Stingray, this Gen 5 LT engine family member utilizes advanced technologies including direct injection and continuously variable valve timing (VVT) to optimize its combustion system. Constructed with a cast aluminum block and featuring 6-bolt nodular iron main bearing caps, this engine is built for durability. It boasts a forged steel crankshaft, aluminum rectangular port D/I cylinder heads, and a billet steel roller camshaft with a lift of 0.561"/0.531". The engine comes factory-assembled and is rated at 460 horsepower and 465 ft-lbs of torque, with a compression ratio of 11.5:1. Technical notes indicate that this assembly does not include electronics and is intended for pre-1976 street vehicles or any off-road vehicle. It is not intended for marine applications. For engine operation, the LT1 Controller Kit P/N 19368831, which includes an electronic throttle pedal, must be used. A Front-End Accessory Drive Kit, P/N 19329990, can be ordered separately. The engine is shipped with a high-pressure direct-injection fuel pump installed, an 8-bolt crankshaft flange, and a 14-inch flexplate. Chevrolet Performance Parts Control Kits do not utilize the AFM components on this crate engine.
