The Chevrolet 551793 is a throttle body adapter plate from ICT Billet, engineered to facilitate the connection between GM LT5 throttle bodies and LT1 intake manifolds or LT4 superchargers. Crafted from aerospace-grade, USA-produced billet aluminum in Wichita, Kansas, this adapter ensures durability and optimal performance. This adapter plate kit includes the adapter itself, necessary bolts, and an O-ring seal. A gasket is also provided for instances where the intake is ported and cannot accommodate a factory O-ring. It is compatible with LT5 throttle bodies exclusively. A key application for this adapter is when adapting an LT5 throttle body to an LT1 intake or LT4 supercharger. It is important to note that this adapter will not work with LT4 Corvettes when utilizing the factory front drive accessories. For maximum horsepower gains, porting of the intake or supercharger to match the LT5 throttle body and adapter plate is compatible and recommended. The adapter plate is designed to allow for porting, enabling users to match the LT5 throttle body and adapter plate to their intake or supercharger. This ensures maximum airflow and performance potential is realized.
