LTG Cold Air Intake

The ZZPerformance ZZ-LTG '13-'15 Malibu Cold Air Intake is engineered to significantly boost performance for the 2013-2015 Chevrolet Malibu equipped with the LTG 2.0T engine. This system prioritizes three key areas: performance gains, enhanced turbo and bypass valve acoustics, and improved engine bay cosmetics. The intake features a robust, lightweight aluminum airbox with a durable powder coating for both form and function. Inside, it houses a high-flow ZZP air filter, strategically positioned to draw air directly from the stock fresh air feed located in the front bumper. The core of the system is a 3-inch mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube, fabricated in-house by ZZPerformance. This larger-than-stock diameter minimizes restrictions in the intake tract, allowing for greater airflow and amplifying the desirable turbo and bypass valve sounds. For those upgrading to larger turbochargers, this insert can be removed for an immediate increase in tubing diameter, though tuning adjustments will be necessary. ZZPerformance offers a specific LTG Malibu tune to address potential codes and optimize performance with this intake. Data collected during testing showed an increased MAF signal (Hz), indicating a higher airflow rate compared to the stock system. The unit installs in the stock location. This ZZP intake prioritizes flow and sound; potential buyers who prefer a quieter operation should reconsider. While confirmed for 2013-2015 Chevrolet Malibu 2.0T LTG models, it may fit '16+ Malibu models, but fitment has not been officially confirmed. This intake is compatible with stock turbochargers as well as ZZP's Z54 and Z57 turbo upgrades.
