Overview

The NGK LTR7IX-11 is an Iridium IX spark plug designed to provide extreme ignitability and exceptional anti-fouling performance. The plug features a tapered cut ground electrode to improve starting, idling, and throttle response in high-performance engines.

Constructed with an iridium fine wire center electrode, this component offers increased durability compared to standard platinum plugs. It features a 25mm reach, a 5/8" hex size, and a .043" (1.1mm) gap.

The NGK LTR7IX-11 Iridium IX spark plug serves as a 1-step colder upgrade for performance applications, helping to prevent engine knock and detonation in high-heat or forced induction environments. Its design utilizes an iridium alloy center electrode with an extremely high melting point, which is six times harder than platinum for enhanced long-term durability. Technical specifications include a 25mm reach, a 5/8-inch (16mm) hex size, a solid terminal, and a factory-set gap of .043 inches (1.1mm). This part does not require an EO in California and is legal for sale and use in all 50 states. Installation considerations: While the plugs come pre-gapped, some performance applications may require manual adjustment of the gap based on specific engine tuning or forced induction requirements. Note that NGK has a recommended limit on the amount of bending allowed for the ground electrode when adjusting the gap. Proper fitment is verified for 2011-2017 Ford Mustang and 2012-2013 Boss Mustang models; verify exact compatibility for your specific engine and forced induction setup before installation.
