The Two Brothers Racing M-2 VALE Slip-On exhaust system is designed for the Yamaha R1 models from 2004-2006. This slip-on system features the innovative V.A.L.E. (Variable Axis Locking Exhaust) technology, a patented method for attaching the muffler canisters to the mid-pipe without relying on springs or welding. This allows for precise positioning of the muffler assembly before tightening, ensuring a perfect, leak-free connection. The mid-pipes are crafted from .035" thick 304 stainless steel, known for its high rust resistance and polished satin finish. Over time and with heat cycles, this material develops a signature golden amber hue. The exhaust note is characterized as deep and throaty, avoiding the shrill sound often associated with straight-through mufflers. This system aims to reduce weight and deliver additional horsepower and torque. Key features include a spiral-wound perforated core, a Black Teflon coated magnesium end-cap, and a rubber-lined exhaust clamp. Optional P1 and PX1 sound inserts are available separately for sound customization, as are optional anodized bolt kits. This product is made in the USA.
