The Weber K731-M is a DGEV carburetor conversion kit engineered for Subaru vehicles, offering an upgrade from the factory Hitachi 2-barrel carburetor. This kit is designed for 1985-1987 Subaru models equipped with the EA 82 engine, featuring either a 1.6L or 1.8L displacement and manual choke. The kit includes a genuine Weber 32/36 DGEV carburetor, manifold adapter, linkage, OE air filter adapter, and hardware. It provides necessary parts for the conversion, aiming to improve throttle response and overall performance. Note that while the kit is for manual choke, some product images may depict an electric choke carburetor. Important fitment restrictions apply: This Subaru K731 kit will not fit 1983 and 1984 automatic transmission models with a 1-barrel Carter carburetor. Additionally, this kit is not CARB approved and may be illegal for use in states requiring CARB certification. Compatibility with power steering systems may be affected when using the electric choke version, suggesting potential installation issues.
