The M-Engineering 4Bar MAP Sensor Kit is required for running large turbocharger upgrades (such as the Pure1000 or PTME1100) that produce more boost than the factory turbos. Why? The factory MAP sensors can only reach a certain ceiling of boost pressure reading. When upgrading turbochargers on the 992 Turbo / Turbo S, the requested boost is above that ceiling and an upgraded MAP sensor is required to be able to continue reading boost and allow for optimal tuning.
