The BMW Genuine Parts M Sport brake system retrofit kit provides enhanced braking performance for select BMW M2 models. This comprehensive kit includes red-painted aluminum brake calipers featuring the iconic M logo, along with the necessary components for both the front and rear axles. The front axle is outfitted with powerful 19-inch, 6-piston fixed calipers, while the rear axle utilizes 18-inch, 4-piston fixed calipers. The brake system incorporates ventilated compound brake discs, with the front discs measuring 400 x 36 mm and the rear discs measuring 380 x 28 mm. Both sets of discs are internally ventilated and perforated. Installation of this M Sport brake system requires a minimum wheel size of 19 inches, and this size requirement extends to winter wheels as well. A crucial post-installation step is the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) re-cording, which must be adapted to the new M Sport brake system. Additionally, a careful break-in period of the first 200 km after installation is recommended to achieve the full effect of the new brake system. The kit contains all necessary parts for a complete retrofit, including brake calipers, brake pads, compound brake discs, brake guard plates, brake pad wear sensors, and installation hardware. The calipers are finished in M Performance Red, and the multi-part brake discs feature an aluminum base with a float grey cast friction ring.
