From concept through production of the 5th generation Camaro, GM engineers in both Australia and Detroit were in constant contact with the engineers at Hurst Performance (TM) for guidance and design support of a worthy shifter. Stout Tremec TR-6060, and it's little brother the Aisin Warner AY6 transmissions were sent thousands of miles across the Pacific for testing and evaluation in conjunction with the development of prototype Hurst (R) shifters. Secretive track and laboratory testing including GM's brutal endurance tests were run to ensure that this Hurst Billet/Plus (R) shifter was the best option for the new Camaro. Features include a throw reduction of 38% over the factory shifter, billet aluminum/polyamide pivot cup for reduced vibration, and an extra shift stick as an option for reusing the OEM shift handle (GXP G8 OEM shift knob does Not fit stick.) Includes the classic Hurst chrome shift stick and white shift knob with the 6-speed pattern. Note: Also fits 2009 Pontiac G-8 GXP with 6.2L engine and 6-speed transmission.
