M157 5.5L V8 BiTurbo Performance Package

The RENNtech performance package is a comprehensive upgrade for the M157 5.5L V8 BiTurbo engine, aimed at unlocking significant power gains. It features motorsport-derived Garrett ball bearing turbochargers with larger impeller and turbine wheels for improved airflow and reduced lag. The package includes an ECU tune, a performance diverter valve to handle boost spikes, high-flow BMC air filters, and a hand-crafted T-304 stainless steel sport muffler with 2 3/4" tubing for reduced back pressure and increased exhaust gas flow. A carbon fiber air box kit with flow-optimized turbo tubes is also included, though it requires modification to the OEM engine cover. The goal is to deliver immediate power delivery by reducing exhaust back pressure and turbo lag. All necessary lines and fittings are included, manufactured and tested in-house for leak-proof operation. Performance figures indicate that this package can achieve up to 678 HP and 652 TQ at the crank for the G63 AMG M157, representing a gain of +142 HP and +92 LB-FT over stock. For the CLS 63 AMG C217, the R2 package achieves 716 HP and 826 LB-FT at the crank. To safely utilize the increased power and boost levels, 93 octane or higher gasoline is mandatory. States with known poor fuel quality may require a lower power setup; contact RENNtech for details. It is important to note that this upgrade requires a core exchange for the OEM turbos, with credit issued upon return of the pipes in good condition. Deep scratches and dents will void the credit.
