M177 LS2 Intake System

The Weistec M177 LS2 Intake System is engineered to significantly increase airflow to the M177 LS2 engine, particularly beneficial for vehicles running higher boost levels, tuned applications, or with upgraded turbochargers. It directly addresses the limitations of stock airboxes by providing higher airflow and ensuring that intake air is sourced from cooler exterior environments, reducing the risk of engine knock or detonation. This intake system utilizes twin cone filters with a 3.5" diameter flange, offering a combined filter element area that is 228% larger than OEM filters. The intake tubes themselves are 3" OD, providing 1.5 times the cross-sectional area of stock tubes to further decrease restriction and feed each turbo more efficiently. The airbox lids are constructed with a 304 stainless steel base and a carbon fiber top layer, while the core support adapters are made from 80 durometer silicone for an unrestricted, sealed connection to air intake ducts. The system is a 100% bolt-on installation and is fully serviceable, with removable carbon fiber top panels for easy filter access. The filters feature a 4-ply lightly oiled cotton media for minimal airflow restriction and effective filtration for road and track use.
