Description

Wheel spacers are billet-aluminum discs ranging in size from 5mm to 45mm or larger. They are used to move wheels away from a truck's frame and body. Most wheel spacers bolt onto a truck's axles or hubs and include studs on which the wheels are mounted. Spacers can support larger wheels and/or tires, prevent conflict with wider-than-stock brake calipers, and are a relatively inexpensive alternative to modifying a truck's wheel wells or fenders. However, drawbacks include decreased drivability due to an increased scrub axis angle, and potentially poor ride quality as the wider track can strain suspension components and wheel studs.
