The M4 Black GP Slip-On Exhaust Muffler is a performance-focused replacement for the restrictive factory exhaust on 2006-2020 Yamaha YZF-R6 motorcycles. By replacing the stock muffler, this unit improves exhaust scavenging to provide a more aggressive sound and a slight increase in engine power. It features a distinct GP-style aesthetic, with a design that mounts lower and further forward on the bike than the original component. The system includes the black GP cone, a barrel clamp, and an M8 flange nut for installation. While this slip-on provides a modest power improvement, the manufacturer recommends a full system upgrade for users seeking more significant horsepower gains. For riders concerned about noise levels, optional Stage 1 (Q1) and Stage 2 (Q3) quiet inserts are available for separate purchase to help manage sound output. This product does not meet emission requirements for street or highway use.
