Engine intake manifolds are typically made from aluminum, plastic, or composite materials and are mounted on the top or side of the engine. Symptoms of a failing intake manifold can include engine misfires or a rough idle due to uneven air delivery, coolant or vacuum leaks from cracks or bad gaskets, and the illumination of the Check Engine Light (CEL) caused by air imbalance or sensor issues.
