Overview

The Genuine throttle body is a replacement part for M54 3.0-liter engines. It features an electronic drive-by-wire system and a 6-pin connector.

This assembly is manufactured by Continental VDO, the original supplier to BMW. The sensor and motor are integrated and cannot be replaced separately; the entire unit must be exchanged when faulty. It meets TUV approval standards.

The Genuine throttle body assembly is designed as an OEM replacement for M54 3.0-liter engines found in various BMW models, including the E46 330i/Ci/xi, E39 530i, E60 530i (M54 2004-2005), E83 X3 (2.5i M54 2004-2005), E53 X5 3.0i, and E85/E86 Z4 3.0i. This electronic, drive-by-wire throttle body replaces BMW part number 13547502445. It incorporates an integrated throttle sensor and electric motor. When either of these components fails, indicated by an EML dash light, erratic idle speed, or limp mode, the entire throttle body assembly requires replacement as the individual parts are not serviceable. Manufactured by Continental VDO, the original supplier to BMW for this component, this throttle body meets all original design, fitment, and performance specifications. A two-year warranty is included with this part.
