The Black Smoke Performance M57 Updated Hybrid Turbo Billet offers an easy solution for increased power, capable of producing approximately 370 hp. This turbocharger is a refurbished and updated unit based on the Garrett GT2260V, featuring a billet compressor wheel measuring 50/71 mm and a turbine wheel measuring 51/48 mm. It is designed as a 100% bolt-on solution, requiring no modifications for installation into stock parts locations. The actuator has been fully refurbished, and the shaft has been upgraded to reduce backpressure. To ensure optimal performance and longevity, it is crucial to note that an intercooler with aluminum end tanks is recommended for sustained use, as stock intercooler end tanks may not be sufficient for the turbo's output. Proper installation is critical; ensure the oil feed line is in good condition and correctly connected, and that air pressure lines are securely fastened. Without a remap (ECU tune), the vehicle will not achieve increased horsepower. This hybrid turbo is compatible with BMW models such as the 525 d (170kW), 525 (145kW), 525 xd (170 kW), 530 (170kW, 173kW), and 730d (170kW, 173kW), 730 ld (170kW, 173kW), and 530 xd (173kW). It specifically fits engines with codes M57N2 and M57D30UL.
