Description

The Zumbrota Drivetrain M5R1 Man. Trans is a remanufactured manual transmission built to exacting standards for 1988-1994 Ford Ranger and 1994 Mazda B2300 vehicles equipped with the 2.3L engine and 2WD drivetrain. This M5R1 transmission undergoes a rigorous three-step inspection process. Quality checks are performed before, during, and after the remanufacturing to ensure all components meet OEM specifications. Internal parts are 100% inspected, including checks for gear wear, mainshaft straightness, and synchronizer function. The transmission is also dyno-tested to simulate real-world scenarios. Key technical specifications include an all-aluminum construction, a shift lever that bolts into the top cover, and no bottom pan. It features a 4-5/8 inch long shifter stub, one switch top cover, and a gear-driven speedometer with a purple 6-tooth speedo gear. The tag numbers associated with this unit are F27A-UA, F57A-AA, and F67A-AAA, with a Hollander Number of 400-02267.
