The Zumbrota Drivetrain M5R1 is a remanufactured manual transmission built to exacting quality standards. This all-aluminum transmission features a 4-5/8 inch long shifter stub and a two-switch top cover, with the shift lever bolting into the top cover and no bottom pan. Zumbrota Drivetrain employs a rigorous three-step inspection process for their manual transmissions. This includes a pre-inspection for case cracks and excessive wear, measurement of component parts to ensure OEM specifications, and a final inspection to verify the unit meets their strict quality standards. Shaft straightness, gear wear, and synchronizers are thoroughly tested, and all seals are replaced. Each transmission is dyno-tested to ensure proper operation, shiftability, and noise levels.
