M5R2-4 Manual Transmission

The Zumbrota Drivetrain RMTM5R2F-4 is a remanufactured M5R2 manual transmission specifically built for the 1997-1998 Ford F150 and F250 models equipped with a 6-cylinder engine and 2WD. This transmission features an all-aluminum construction for reduced weight and an integral bell housing for enhanced strength. Key components include a removable top cover, a gear-driven Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) for accurate speed readings, and an 8-tooth green speedo gear. It is also equipped with a two-bolt starter, and the shifter is centrally located on the top cover, with the reverse switch positioned at the left front. Zumbrota Drivetrain emphasizes quality through a rigorous three-step inspection process. This includes a pre-inspection to identify and address OEM-related problems like case cracks or excessive wear, an inspection during the remanufacturing process to ensure all parts meet OEM specifications, and a final post-build inspection to guarantee adherence to strict standards.
