The Texas Speed & Performance Magic Stick 4 camshaft is engineered as an all-out, max-effort performance upgrade for enthusiasts seeking maximum power from stock displacement LS engines. Building on the performance characteristics of previous designs, this camshaft helps generate a wider power band with gains in horsepower and torque across the majority of the rpm range, operating effectively between 3,000 and 7,000 RPM. Technically, this camshaft features a 239/242 duration and .649"/.600" lift profile with a 111.5 LSA and 110 ICL, utilizing a 3-bolt timing gear design. It is optimized for 5.7L and 6.0L LS engines with a compression ratio of 10.5:1 or higher. While it is compatible with stock, untouched cylinder heads, it is crucial to avoid any head milling on stock motors to prevent clearance issues, and measurement is always recommended during installation. Due to the aggressive profile of the camshaft, it is not recommended for daily driving but is well-suited for street/strip applications. To ensure proper performance, the vehicle must be equipped with an aftermarket stall converter of at least 4,000 RPM and upgraded rear gears, with a 3.42 ratio as the minimum and 3.73 or higher recommended for maximum performance.
