Description

The Pertronix 1589 Ignitor is an electronic ignition conversion kit designed for Prestolite distributors with 8 cylinders. It operates on a 12-volt negative ground system. This kit replaces original mechanical breaker points, offering a more accurate trigger signal for improved timing accuracy and preventing 'points bounce' at higher RPMs. The electronic technology also enhances dwell control for improved spark output and a hotter spark.
