Magnum 262/262 Solid Flat Tappet Camshaft

The COMP Cams Magnum 262/262 is a solid flat tappet camshaft engineered for serious street and strip performance in Chrysler 383-440 Big Block engines. This camshaft is designed to deliver strong mid to upper RPM power, operating effectively within a 3,500 to 6,500 RPM range. Key specifications include a 260 degrees duration at 0.050 inch lift for both intake and exhaust, with a 306 degrees advertised duration. The lift measures 0.555 inches on both the intake and exhaust. This camshaft requires a minimum 10.5:1 compression ratio and an 800-850 CFM carburetor when used with a 440ci engine paired with a 3500 RPM stall converter. For 383ci engine applications, a higher stall speed converter of 4000 RPM or more is recommended. This camshaft may also require upgraded valve springs. As a solid flat tappet design, it necessitates proper break-in procedures to ensure longevity of the camshaft and lifters.
