Overview

The PowerGo Motorsport shorty headers are an exhaust performance upgrade designed for 1996-2002 Dodge vehicles equipped with 5.2L or 5.9L Magnum V8 engines. These headers feature mandrel-bent 16-gauge mild steel tubing and laser-cut 5/16-inch thick flanges for a durable, leak-free seal.

Built to enhance performance from idle to mid-range RPM, this short-tube design incorporates TIG-welded joints and an OE-style ball socket collector that connects directly to the factory exhaust head pipe. The components are finished in a black paint coating rated for temperatures up to 500 degrees Celsius.

The PowerGo Motorsport shorty headers serve as a direct-fit performance replacement for the factory exhaust manifolds on 1996-2002 Dodge Dakota, Durango, and Ram 1500/2500/3500 trucks powered by the 5.2L (318 cu. in.) or 5.9L (360 cu. in.) Magnum V8. Construction consists of 16-gauge mandrel-bent mild steel tubing for consistent flow, mated to 5/16-inch thick laser-cut steel flanges. Each unit is TIG-welded to prevent cracking under thermal stress. The headers are finished in a specialized black paint designed to withstand heat levels up to 500 degrees Celsius and utilize an OE-style ball socket collector to maintain compatibility with the factory exhaust head pipe. Compatibility is specific to the following Magnum V8 applications: 1996-1999 Dakota 5.2L, 1998-2002 Dakota 5.9L, 1996-2001 Ram 1500/2500 5.2L, 1996-2002 Ram 1500/2500 5.9L, 1996-2002 Ram 3500 5.9L, 1998-2000 Durango 5.2L, and 1998-2002 Durango 5.9L.
