The Tremec Magnum F transmission (TUET16362) is engineered as a direct replacement for the OEM T-56 found in 1998-2002 LS1 F-body vehicles, leveraging the robust TR-6060 platform for superior strength and refinement. This unit is specifically designed for the 4th-Gen Camaro/Firebird but can be adapted to 3rd-Gen and LT1 F-body builds, as well as sport compact platforms and LS-swaps requiring the F-body shifter position. Key internal upgrades include wider gear face widths, triple-cone synchronizers for gears 1 through 3, and enhanced main case webbing for increased durability under high-performance conditions. The transmission boasts a 700 ft-lb torque capacity and a 7800 RPM shift rating, making it suitable for both street and track applications. It features a close-ratio gear set (2.66 / 1.78 / 1.30 / 1.00 / 0.80 / 0.63), a 26-spline input shaft, and a 31-spline output shaft. Fitment is ideal for direct replacement in 1998-2002 Camaro/Firebird models. Minor modifications are required for 1993-1997 LT1 Camaro/Firebird installations. It is also suited for custom 3rd-Gen F-body builds, sport compact platforms utilizing the F-body T-56 shifter location, and LS-swaps that require the specific rear-biased F-body shifter position.
