It directly replaces the factory air box and torque booster tube with a custom aFe intake box and AFE torque booster tube, facilitating an easy installation. The Magnum Force intakes are available with three distinct filter styles: Pro Dry S (a 3-layer dry filter), Pro 5R (an oiled 5-layer progressive cotton gauze media with 98.9% filtration efficiency), and Pro-Guard 7 (an oiled 7-layer progressive cotton gauze and synthetic media with 99.5% filtration efficiency). All aFe air filters are washable and reusable, offering a longer service life. The PRO 5R filter, specifically featured in this system, uses a 5-layer progressive cotton gauze media and is constructed with 100% polyurethane for durability and multiple cleaning cycles. It aims to achieve maximum flow and performance filtration, with a stated efficiency of 98.6% for the 6" 360-degree cone filter. The system includes a durable, one-piece powder-coated heat-shield to keep the air intake charge cool and dense. It also features an attractive black diamond plate cover for easy filter access and aggressive styling. This intake is 50-state legal with CARB E.O. Number D-550-4.
