Description

The COMP Cams Magnum Hydraulic Roller Camshaft (Part Number 09-420-8) is engineered for mild street performance applications, offering a noticeable, yet slight, lope at idle. This camshaft is designed to work effectively with a stock torque converter, an aftermarket intake manifold, and headers, and recommends a gear ratio range of 3.40 to 4.10. Featuring a hydraulic roller design, this camshaft boasts 0.500 inches of lift on both the intake and exhaust sides, with 215 degrees of duration at 0.050-inch lift. Its advertised durations are 270 degrees for both intake and exhaust. For best results, it thrives with higher compression ratios (9.5:1 and above), though larger Magnum grinds might feel a bit less responsive at lower engine speeds. This camshaft is specifically designed for Chevrolet 262, 4.3L, 90-degree 6-cylinder engines manufactured between 1980 and 1997. It is intended for use on non-balance shaft engines from 1987 to the present. Note: This product includes a PROP 65 WARNING.
