The Comp Cams 1412-16 Magnum Roller rocker arm set is engineered as the ultimate street rocker for Chevrolet 265-400 Small Block V8 and 200-262 V6 engines. Designed for serious performance enthusiasts, these rocker arms are constructed from robust 8620 chromemoly steel, ensuring they will not flex and will maintain maximum lift even under demanding conditions. The roller tip design effectively reduces friction, while the stiff construction and accurate 1.52 ratio contribute to more effective valve lift. These rocker arms offer a significant performance upgrade, providing a potential 15 to 30 horsepower increase over other rocker arm types. They are specifically recommended for applications with less than 350 pounds of open spring pressure. The 1412-16 models require guide plates for proper centering over the valve, distinguishing them from self-aligning models. Installation considerations include the need for guide plates, as specified for the 1412-16 models. Comp Cams also suggests incorporating new pushrods when installing new rocker arms to ensure proper geometry and function.
