The aFe Power MagnumFORCE Stage 2 cold air intake system is engineered to boost performance for the 1991-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ equipped with the 4.0L I6 engine. At the heart of this intake is a Pro-5R air filter, featuring a 5-layer washable and reusable design with oiled cotton gauze. This construction ensures maximum airflow while maintaining a high level of filtration. The system incorporates a durable, 16-gauge powder-coated steel heat shield that encloses the filter, directing cooler ambient air into the engine. A heat-insulating, molded plastic tube replaces the stock intake tract, optimizing airflow and improving volumetric efficiency for increased horsepower and torque. Installation of this system is recommended to be performed by a professional. It is designed as a direct fit, utilizing factory mounting points and hardware, typically requiring no cutting or modifications.
