MAHLE M142P Low-Expansion Aluminum Pistons

Mahle PowerPak+ drop-in pistons from CTS Turbo are engineered for the Audi 2.5T DAZA & DNWA engine, offering a significant upgrade for performance enthusiasts. Constructed from Mahle's proprietary M142P material, these pistons utilize a low-expansion aluminum alloy that boasts approximately 15% improvement in tensile and yield strength at elevated temperatures compared to traditional alloys like 4032. The design features a slipper skirt style for a strong, lightweight, and low-drag forging. They also incorporate a phosphate coating to prevent microwelding in the ring grooves and pin galling, alongside a Grafal® anti-friction skirt coating to reduce drag, scuffing, friction, and cylinder bore wear. For extreme duty applications, the top ring grooves are hard anodized for extra protection against microwelding. These pistons come equipped with heavy-duty, thick-walled H13 tool steel pins for enhanced strength. Key specifications include a 10:1 compression ratio, 82.5mm bore (factory size), 144mm rod length, and 22mm pin diameter. These pistons are compatible with both the factory APS cylinder walls and aftermarket iron sleeves, making them a versatile option for various build types. Fitment is confirmed for the 2016-2021 Audi RS3 2.5T (DAZA & DNWA engines) and the 2017-2021 Audi TT-RS 2.5T (DAZA & DNWA engines).
