MIA's Description
The top rings are constructed from positive twist ductile iron with a barrel-faced, plasma-moly inlay. The second rings are of a tapered hook groove design, and the oil rings are a 3-piece, low-tension style. Mahle utilizes piston ring simulation and computer development tools to engineer these rings for minimal friction and maximum sealing, which is evident on the dyno and track.
