The MAHLE Motorsports Power Pak kit is a high-volume shelf stock program developed for high-performance enthusiasts and sportsman class racers. These pistons are predominantly made from 4032 aluminum alloy for tighter cylinder-to-wall clearances and improved temperature stability. Each kit includes a set of high-performance rings (1.5mm, 1.5mm, 3.0mm or 1/16”, 1/16”, 3/16”). Features include: forged piston for performance applications, fully-machined crown, Grafal® anti-friction coating on skirts to reduce drag, scuffing, friction, cylinder bore wear, and piston noise. They are also phosphate-coated to reduce micro-welding and pin galling, especially useful during initial start-up or break-in. Pin bores are finished on CNC boring equipment and are hand deburred. The kit also includes high-strength, lightweight German steel pins and race-proven round wire locks. The pistons feature lightweight slipper skirt forgings and a low-drag ring pack.
