Overview

The MAHLE Motorsport POWERPAK kit is a high-volume shelf stock program for high-performance enthusiasts and sportsman class racers. These pistons are crafted from either 4032 aluminum alloy for tighter cylinder-to-wall clearances and improved temperature stability, or 2618 alloy for increased detonation resistance. Each kit includes a set of high-performance rings (available in low-drag 1.0mm, 1.0mm, 2.0mm; 1.5mm, 1.5mm, 3.0mm; or a 1/16", 1/16”, 3/16” high-performance ring pack for big block kits). MAHLE’s GRAFAL skirt coating reduces drag, scuffing, friction, cylinder bore wear, and piston noise. A phosphate coating provides a lubricant film in the pin bores and ring grooves for protection during initial start-up or break-in.
