These bearings are constructed with an enhanced tri-metal design, incorporating a layered copper lead construction. This is further reinforced by a nickel plate barrier and a Babbitt overlay composed of lead, tin, and copper. The XP-Series STDX designation indicates a larger internal diameter for increased oil clearance. This provides a thicker oil film, which is crucial for high-performance engines that operate under elevated temperatures and extreme stress.
