The IAG Performance Air / Oil Separator (AOS) is a critical upgrade for safeguarding your Subaru engine. Developed through extensive testing, this AOS provides unparalleled protection by effectively separating oil from the PCV system gases before they re-enter the intake tract. The 1-liter swirl pot canister is constructed from cast aluminum, enhancing its oil separation capabilities. Its aluminum housing offers superior ventilation, and a unique baffle design distinguishes it from competitors. Preventing oil from entering the engine intake is crucial for avoiding premature mechanical issues and maintaining optimal performance. Oil in the intake can coat components, degrade hoses, and potentially lead to detonation, pre-ignition, excessive emissions, power loss, reduced fuel efficiency, and severe engine damage. The IAG AOS addresses this by capturing oil suspended in PCV gasses, allowing it to drain back into the crankcase. The system utilizes an internal gas vortex filtered through baffles to gather oil, with gases exiting from the top of the canister. Separated oil slowly drains back into the crankcase. Its substantial size and a unique heating system, integrated with the vehicle's cooling system, prevent sludge formation and minimize condensation buildup by maintaining the AOS canister at engine temperature. This system seamlessly integrates with standard ECU settings, requiring no tuning, and is compatible with all fuel types. The AOS also complements the OEM PCV system with an upgraded check valve for enhanced suction and air-oil separation, offering protection against fuel dilution in ethanol-fueled applications. Installation is simplified with custom-length SAE Quick Connection lines, which ensure a secure and reliable connection, reducing the risk of leaks compared to standard hose clamps. The AOS is available in black, red, or neon yellow to complement your engine bay.
