Description

These aftermarket main caps by Milodon are designed to reinforce both factory 2-bolt and 4-bolt engine blocks. A key feature is their angled side bolts, which apply force from the block's side walls rather than the main web area. This design effectively prevents "cap walk," a condition that can lead to bearing damage and reduced horsepower. The main caps are CNC machined from high-strength ductile material, offering an ideal balance of strength and shock absorption. Installation requires minimal material removal (only 0.030") and a drill bushing is included in the kit for installing the side bolts. For optimal strength, Milodon main studs are strongly recommended.
