Manley's "Platinum Series" pistons feature 2618 alloy forgings, cam and barrel skirt profiles, tool steel wrist pins, and moly skirt coatings (on select part numbers). They include premium Chrome Moly wrist pins. Manley's unique fixturing ensures ultimate ring groove to skirt squareness by allowing skirt turning and ring groove machining in a single operation. The pistons are lightweight with an offset wrist pin for quieter start-ups, a pressure balance groove, and accommodate +1mm valve sizes. They come with premium steel top rings, Napier seconds, and round wire locks. Recommended piston clearance is .0035" measured 1.100" from the bottom of the oil ring.
