It is manufactured from super-clean, high-tensile chrome silicon steel and is shot-peened to MIL specs. The spring features a proprietary, multi-step heat-treating process and computer-aided modeling to minimize valve bounce and gear separation. Its smaller diameter and lightweight construction allow engines to rev higher and faster.
