Forged from 2618 high strength material, these lightweight pistons feature a contour forging design. Includes proprietary multi-step top ring groove machining for precise control of size, geometry, flatness, and finish. All final turning is performed in one fixturing for complete squareness of rings to the cylinder wall. Federal Form-Scan gauging validates ideal skirt indexing to pinhole and skirt-to-skirt polarity. Features include a pressure balance groove and precise pinhole machining for exact compression distance and lock ring groove spacing, size, and concentricity. Manley Sport Compact Platinum series pistons come complete with pistons, rings, pins, and locks. They feature an offset wrist pin for quiet start-ups and a .210" wall Premium Chrome Moly pin (Standard Series) or 9310 alloy .210" wall pin (Extreme Duty Series) included. Premium Steel top rings and round wire locks are included. Recommended piston clearance is .0035" measured .850" from the bottom of the oil ring.
