Manual Boost Controller Kit

The Stinger Performance MBC-Stg2 is a manual boost controller kit designed to enhance engine performance by increasing boost pressure. This mid-level manual boost controller, also known as a boost valve, works by creating faster boost response, allowing the turbo to reach its maximum boost at a lower RPM. This leads to increased torque, even at stock boost levels. Constructed from billet aluminum and stainless steel components, the MBC-Stg2 features an innovative, user-friendly design. Its boost dial is easy to adjust without the need for tools like lock nuts or Allen wrenches, and it securely holds its position. The design also prevents the adjustment knob from vibrating loose or coming out, thus eliminating the risk of unexpected overboosting. A stainless steel ball mechanism ensures fine and consistent boost pressure adjustments. The kit comes with three interchangeable pressure springs: light, medium (pre-installed), and heavy-duty. The light spring is ideal for lower boost requirements and precise control, while the heavy-duty spring is suited for high boost applications. The pre-installed medium spring offers a balance between precision and a wide adjustment range. The controller is adjustable from wastegate spring pressure up to approximately 40psi with the supplied springs. Installation involves connecting the bottom port to a boost source (turbo outlet or vacuum tree) and the side port to the wastegate actuator. The kit includes the Stage 2 Boost Controller, three springs (~20psi, 30psi, 40psi max), a mounting bracket, 5ft of 4mm silicone hose, a tee fitting, and zip ties. An optional upgrade to thick-wall silicone hose is available for high boost applications. Note: Increasing boost pressure can be dangerous for your engine and may require supporting modifications such as adequate fuel flow to prevent engine damage.
