It features a hybrid vinyl-over-aluminum construction, offering the security of a hard cover with the appearance of a soft cover. This design provides four-season protection and bed security, with aluminum slats and a keyed lock cylinder to prevent break-ins. Adverse weather is managed by a one-piece industrial-grade vinyl top, with integrated drain channels to funnel moisture away.

Operation is straightforward, with a frictionless construction and insulated grip lever. The cover retracts into a compact, 7.25-inch deep canister, preserving bed space. It can be operated without opening the tailgate and locks in multiple positions via a patented ratchet-style mechanism. The cover includes a patented built-in tailgate locking system and a keyed twist-lock latch with a key slot cover to prevent freezing. An integrated pull-strap assists in closing.
