MANUAL STEERING BOX

Borgeson OEM Saginaw 525 series manual steering boxes are the true OEM gears built to the original specifications and drawings from Saginaw, not an off-shore copy. Each gear features a precision machined casting created from the original tooling coupled with all new internals manufactured by Borgeson. Each gear is carefully assembled, inspected and tested to Borgeson's precise specifications. This Saginaw Side-Steer Manual Steering Box (Rearward Movement) features true recirculating ball side steer design with a standard 24:1 ratio. The rotation of this box moves a pitman arm that faces up back toward the rear of the car when making a right hand turn of the steering wheel. If your pitman arm faces down, a right hand turn will push the pitman arm forward toward the front of the car. Input shaft is a 3/4"-36 spline and pitman shaft is a 1-1/8" 32 spline plus four master splines. This configuration suits applications where rearward pitman arm movement is required for proper steering geometry.
