The Fast Coolers 2FC300 is a pair of manual transmission cooler kits designed to enhance the performance and longevity of your transmission. These coolers replace the existing PTO covers, offering a significant upgrade in fluid capacity by adding one quart of lubricant per cooler, for a total of two additional quarts. The extruded, heat-sink aluminum construction efficiently dissipates heat, leading to an average temperature reduction of 30 degrees Fahrenheit, which is particularly beneficial during strenuous activities like towing in overdrive where manual transmissions can experience temperatures 30 degrees higher than normal. Each cooler features a 1/4" NPT port, allowing for the convenient installation of a temperature sensor to monitor fluid conditions. Additionally, a magnetic drain plug is included for easier maintenance and to capture any metallic debris. The aluminum covers also contribute to the rigidity of the transmission case. For those seeking further monitoring capabilities, the aluminum covers can be upgraded with an optional sight glass. When installing the 2FC300 kit, it is important to confirm exhaust clearance to the PTO covers, ensuring at least 3 inches of space is available. Specifically for G56 manual transmissions from model year 2005.5 onwards in Dodge Cummins vehicles, an additional hardware kit is required.
