Description

This is a remanufactured M5R2 5-speed manual transmission featuring an all-aluminum construction, integral bell housing, and a removable top cover with a centrally located shifter. It's a fully synchronized unit with brass synchronizer rings in all gears. Key components include a tapered front input shaft bearing (90mm OD), a cast iron rear bearing retainer, and three rubber plugs on the shift tower. The remanufacturing process involves rigorous three-stage quality inspections: pre-inspection for case cracks/wear, during-remanufacturing inspection to ensure OEM specifications, and a final post-build inspection. All internal parts are 100% inspected (gear wear, mainshaft straightness, synchronizer testing), and units are dynometer-tested under various real-life scenarios.
