The Sikky Manufacturing LS Swap Oil Pan (SM-OP005) is engineered to simplify LS engine swaps by offering a low-profile, high-capacity solution. Manufactured in the USA, it boasts a robust 1/2" thick 6061 billet aluminum flange and back plate, ensuring superior strength and durability compared to flimsy steel pans. Its 5.5-quart capacity, deep front sump design with side kick-outs maximizes oil volume. The pan features a machined gasket surface to prevent leaks and a rigid design mimicking OEM GM pans for enhanced strength. A unique included back plate is compatible with factory dust covers, preventing debris from entering the bell housing. The high ground clearance design also minimizes the risk of the pan hanging low. This oil pan is suitable for a wide range of LS-based engines, including LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, L99, LQ4, LQ9, LSA, LS7, LS9, and LSX. It requires specific components for installation, such as the OEM F-body Camaro pickup tube (part number 12558251) and an LS3 dipstick and tube (OEM GM tube 12625031, stick 12669528). Users must also select one of three available pan-mounted oil filter adapter blocks. Modifications may be needed for aftermarket oil pumps, and users should ensure at least a 3/8” gap between the pickup tube and the oil pan.
