MAP Sensor

The UroTuning MAP sensor, also known as a boost sensor, is a direct replacement for your vehicle's original Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. It is located in the boost pipe and is essential for the engine control unit (ECU) to accurately calculate air density and determine the engine's air mass flow rate. A failing MAP sensor can cause a variety of issues, including surging, rough idling, a rich fuel condition, spark plug fouling, and a general loss of power and fuel economy. This sensor can serve as an OEM replacement for various Volkswagen and Audi TDI and TSI models. For performance applications, it can be used as an upgrade, specifically with APR's K04 V3 high output file, but it requires the proper APR or Driver Motorsport software to function correctly as an upgrade. If your current sensor is failing, you may encounter a P0236 code, which indicates a MAP sensor malfunction. This part fits a range of Audi TT Mk2 (2008-2015) 2.0T TSI models (FWD and Quattro), as well as various Volkswagen models including the Beetle (2012-2019) 2.0T, Golf/GTI Mk5 (2006-2009) and Mk6 (2010-2014) with 2.0T or TDI engines, and Mk5 (2006-2010) and Mk6 (2011-2014) TDI models. It also fits specific GLI models within these ranges. Note that for performance upgrades, specific software is required.
