The Rockford Fosgate PMX-5CAN is a versatile marine digital media receiver engineered for demanding marine and motorsports environments. It boasts a robust IPX6 water-intrusion rating and an optically wet-bonded 2.7" full-color TFT display, ensuring optimal viewing even in bright sunlight while preventing dust and moisture ingress. The unit features a water-resistant rotary encoder knob with white LED illumination and front-mounted subwoofer level controls. This receiver serves as a command center for your audio system, offering an AM/FM/WB tuner, built-in Bluetooth for audio streaming with album art support for Apple and Android devices, and compatibility with Pandora Internet Radio and SiriusXM (SXV300 satellite radio tuner required, sold separately). It provides true 2-zone/2-source control, allowing independent audio management in different areas. For power, the PMX-5CAN includes an internal amplifier delivering 25 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms (50 watts peak at 2 ohms). Expansion is facilitated through rear AUX and USB inputs, though the USB port is specifically not compatible with Android devices. Audio outputs include 6-channel, 4-volt preamp outputs for Zone 1 (front, rear, sub) and additional 2-channel pre-outs for Zone 2.
