It directly replaces the restrictive stock mass air sensor, which is often a bottleneck in factory intake systems and can limit the potential of aftermarket cold air intakes. Installation is straightforward, typically taking 10 minutes or less, and requires no drilling. It is legal for use in California and other states that follow California emission standards, carrying C.A.R.B. E.O. # D-234-11 & 13.
