Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor

The General Motors 15865791 is a genuine GM Mass Airflow (MAF) Sensor that includes an integrated Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor. Designed as a direct replacement, this component is crucial for optimal engine performance. It precisely measures the volume of air entering the engine, enabling the Engine Control Module (ECM) to accurately calculate and inject the necessary amount of fuel, ensuring efficient combustion. This sensor replaces GM part number 12576410. On supercharged 6.2L (LS9) engines, the IAT sensor is separate, while the MAF sensor is located on the side of the intake air duct. Specific procedures may vary; for example, on four-cylinder and 3.6L V6 engines, the MAF sensor is screwed onto the air filter housing and may require a small screwdriver to unlock the electrical connector. On 3.5L and 3.9L V6 models, the MAF sensor is located in-line across from the air filter housing.
